Welcome to Lake Country Chorus!
Lake Country Chorus was chartered in 1968 as the White Bear Lake Chapter. Throughout our 46 years we have been dedicated to musical excellence and education.
Women of all ages and backgrounds come together to form Lake Country Chorus and create the wonderful sound of a cappella, four part harmony barbershop style.
We are thankful for this hobby that not only allows us to sing, but also gives us the opportunity to make lifelong friends and to participate in things we probably never imagined.
Every rehearsal is open to guests and visitors. Stop by and see the "adult version of Glee".
We love to entertain by putting on our own musical events each year for the community, our friends, and families. To show our commitment to singing and performing at the highest level possible, we compete each year in a regional contest.
Please contact us to sing at your next special event!
Despite our gloomy weather, Lake Country Chorus is gearing up for summer, and our favorite activities, singing in the parks.
In Saint Paul you can find us at Como Park Lakeside Pavilion. Buy an ice cream cone or other treat at the adjacent Black Bear Crossing restaurant, sit under the roofed protection of the pavilion and be cooled by the breezes off Lake Como as you listen.
At Anoka's George Green Park you will want to bring your own lawn chair and pick your spot under the beautiful tree canopy. See you there!
A SINGING OPPORTUNITY
Do you like to sing but have trouble finding the time for a longterm commitment? Lake Country would like you to be a part of our chorus for six weeks starting in October, and sing with us in our annual Christmas concert. We will do both women's barbershop and SATB music with North Star Men's Chorus. Watch the website for rehearsal information, or email info@lakecountrychorus any time you need information. No financial obligation, just six Tuesdays evenings and a Sunday afternoon to start off the holiday season.
