Lake Country Chorus 2017 Woman of Note

                2017 WON poster

Lake Country Chorus is proud to announce JoAnn Baldwin as our 2017 "Woman of Note".  JoAnn has been a Sweet Adeline since 1978having been a member of River Refrains before joining Lake Country Chorus. During her 38 years JoAnn has worn many hats and is always supporting and giving back to her chorus.

Currently she serves on the Board, the Christmas Show committee, and Ways and Means. She has been performance chair for many years, organizing our outside performances, and she stores and hauls our risers wherever needed. She goes out of her way to help some members get to rehearsals.

JoAnn is wiliing to take on a musical challenge and contribute to the chorus, and this year sang in a small group at the Christmas performance and is learning music in voice part that she hasn't sung for a long time.

JoAnn is a true "Woman of Note", and we are honored to have her standing with us on the Lake Country Chorus risers!

About us...

Lake Country Chorus is an extraordinary group of women who gather together in celebration of the art form known as barbershop music. We are a chapter of Sweet Adelines International.

Lake Country Chorus was chartered in 1968 as the White Bear Lake Chapter. Throughout our 48 years we have been dedicated to musical excellence and education.

Women of all ages and backgrounds come  together to form Lake Country Chorus and create the wonderful sound of a cappella, four part harmony barbershop style.

We are thankful for this hobby that not only allows us to sing, but also gives us the opportunity to make lifelong friends and to participate in things we probably never imagined.

Every rehearsal is open to guests and visitors.  Stop by and see the "adult version of Glee".

We love to entertain by putting on our own musical events each year for the community, our friends, and families.  To show our commitment to singing and performing at the highest level possible, we compete each year in a regional contest.
